A few shots from an April weekend in Devon - primarily to hear a friend play a classical concert in Exeter Cathedral, which was rather lovely, but also a nice opportunity to get out and about in a nice piece of the world. And the sun shone! The photos are from Topsham, Exmouth, Dawlish Warren and lastly one of Exeter Cathedral. " order_by="sortorder"] These were all taken on my new compact - a Canon S120 - having decided to travel light for the weekend. I'm really impressed with the results. Dawlish will be somewhere to go back to with the DSLR, a tripod and 10-stop ND filter as I can really see long exposures working with the gryones....

Easter 2015, Bristol

Catching up on some photos that I took over Easter, pretty much the first photos I've taken in about 6 months. First up I went to Coombe Dingle at the bottom end of the Blaise Estate for some slightly dark and slightly depressing landscapes. Then on the Sunday I had a wander along the river at Avonmeads. Not the most picturesque bit of the river by any means and I wasn't looking for beauty - more like urban gritty, which I found to a certain degree with plenty of graffiti. Following that I went in to Arnos Vale Cemetery, somewhere I've not been for years. They have done a lot of work on clearing it up, although there is still an awful lot of it that is badly overgrown - but that's the appeal to me! " order_by="sortorder"]...

Derelict Church (NSFW)

I recently joined a site called Purpleport, which aims to put photographers and models in touch with each other - professionals and amateurs like me. I saw a shoot advertised that sounded too interesting to pass up - a couple of models were organising something at a derelict church outside Chepstow. And I'm so glad I did it - I am so pleased with the photos I got from it, although a lot of credit does have to go to the models Helen and Emma. I appreciate that nudes aren't everyone's cup of tea, but there's nothing gratuitous or offensive here - just what I hope you think are some beautiful images.
