Arnos Vale, September 2020

Making the most of some time off work in September, combined with a relatively relaxed period of lockdown, I met a friend for a socially-distanced wander around Arnos Vale. It's been tidied up a lot since I first went there back in 2003, but there are still large areas that are heavily overgrown - it's a fascinating place, well worth a visit. Easter 2015, Bristol

Catching up on some photos that I took over Easter, pretty much the first photos I've taken in about 6 months. First up I went to Coombe Dingle at the bottom end of the Blaise Estate for some slightly dark and slightly depressing landscapes. Then on the Sunday I had a wander along the river at Avonmeads. Not the most picturesque bit of the river by any means and I wasn't looking for beauty - more like urban gritty, which I found to a certain degree with plenty of graffiti. Following that I went in to Arnos Vale Cemetery, somewhere I've not been for years. They have done a lot of work on clearing it up, although there is still an awful lot of it that is badly overgrown - but that's the appeal to me! " order_by="sortorder"]...
